Being forgotten and distanced is an intertwined feeling experienced by migrants, which is difficult to ignore or endure indefinitely. In this context, two video channels documented during the artist's travels between Isfahan and Zurich illustrate how she navigates being physically present in one space and time while simultaneously experiencing another space and time in her mind. She reflects on geographical displacement and the contrapuntal space of memory. This project engages with elements representing the in-between state, such as writing, environmental sound, and indoor-outdoor activities, which make this displacement evident to her.
